I'm finally back from Puerto Rico, and you should get a trip report somewhat soon, namely after I get my pictures developed.
Just realized something the other day that would have been cool to say in my Gastly article: It was my 1-year anniversary with Pokeschool on Monday! Go me! ;)
Just like when I was in Florida last May, I wrote an article while out of PA, and this time in Puerto Rico! (And, just like that Venomoth article, it was the middle of the night! Woo!) And, straight outta room 217 in the Fajardo Inn, here's article #129!
Quote of the Day:
*HONK HONK HONK!!!*
(One of our bus drivers in PR loved to use the horn...)
"How to Use Lucky Stadium"
Article #129.

Yes, it says 12:51 AM, so be aware that if this article is kinda =\, that's why. ;))

Many of you may not have the Promo version, but that's ok. Neo4 had the exact same card but with different artwork.
**Advantage of Lucky Stadium. Obviously, it's the "draw 1 card". :-p There aren't all too many cards for Modified that let you draw cards, except for Bill, Mary's Impulse, and so on. But, they are once and done. After you use them and later, an Elm or something, they're wasted. With Lucky Stadium, even after Elming, you can still draw a card. There is always the chance for success. There really isn't a whole lot to say here, since it's such a plain card. At least it's a Stadium card, meaning it may stay in play for quite a while, and could eventually add up to some card drawing. Final thought: the artwork is awesome... ;)
**Disadvantages of Lucky Stadium. The FLIP! -_- You only have a 1/2 chance of drawing 1 card. Because of the lack of severe firepower, you really should not make Lucky Stadium a part of your drawing engine. You could have it for backup, but it's not actually something to depend on for actually getting somewhere. Next problem is your opponent's being able to use it too. -_- Just like you, they only have a 50% chance at 1 card, but since it's a Stadium, your opponent will almost always take advantage of it too. You may not want to play this card when you see your opponent struggling to get what they need, for obvious reasons. ;) Note: all it takes is ONE card to get an Elm or something powerful like that. The last disadvantages: You could probably use a more productive Stadium instead, and you could have a hard time finding the Promo ones.
COMBO CARDS:
~A REAL group of drawing cards. You really should not focus your deck on this card for ANY major kind of drawing, as you're bound to be disappointed.
RATINGS:
Standard. =\ There is so much drawing power here it's ridiculous in comparison. 2/10.
Modified. Even though the selection is more limited, it's still not an awesome resource unless your deck can't use any of the other Stadiums well. Hey, you could still sell/trade your Lucky Stadiums! (I forget what I traded to get the one you see pictured above.) 3.5/10.
TRIVIA answer from Gastly.
The Gastly cards in existence are: Base, Fossil, Gym1, 2 in Gym2, Neo4, and Expedition.
TRIVIA for Lucky Stadium.
Without looking, add up the total number of Pokemon in both illustrations (Promo and Neo4).
Thanks for reading, and you'll get a nice article soon (probably Sunday). Remember, I wrote this at like 1 AM. >_< You can email me a request for an article! I only had 1 request ALL of February... @_@
